The exhibition Mobile Home reflects on what the term home could mean at the beginning of the 21st century. The general mobility of societies – voluntary and involuntary – has increased and has now become normal. Artists lead an almost nomadic lifestyle and move from residency to residency. What does this mean for the home?
The exhibition at Gallery Kabinett in Bern/SUI was curated by Rolf Staub (director of Gallery Staub in Zurich/SUI, later Gallery StaubKohler) with additional support of Stefi Binder (former director of Kunstraum Baden/SUI), Bettina Burkhardt, Madeleine Ducret (art hostorian), Richard Hermoso, Roderick Hönig (Head of Edition Hochparterre) and Dorothee Noever.
