flowers III / Gaza is part of the ongoing work series flowers (flowers I, flowers II, flowers III, flowers IV) that I started in 2001, under the impression of 9/11
The work series is based on the fascination of the force and power of destruction and at the same time revealing an aesthetical force and beauty, contrasting the deadly results.
It can be also read as some sort of chronicle of our times, of ongoing wars/conflicts that we have not overcome yet, confronting with beauty and the abyss at the same time.
