The solo show Tales from a River unites two video installations that have been developed on site in Chicoutimi, Québec/Canada, during an artist residency, invited by artist collective AMV (Art / Materialité / Visibilité).
Tales from a River, 3-channel video installation, in colour with sound, 4:55 Min., gives voice to a river that has seen many changes, from colonization to the exploitation of nature.
Glory – a (re-)construction, site specific 2-channel video installation, 2:40 Min. researches into vandalism, destruction, removal and relocation of monuments that are connected to the colonial past of South- and North-America, that came to a climax around 2020 as a reaction of the me-too movement in the USA, initiated by various indigenous groups and activists.
