heard of a van that`s loaded with weapons | redaktion, Luzern/CH

May 10, 2024 – May 26, 2024 (Save in calendar)

Group show, curated by Stephan Wittmer, redaktion, Lucern/CH – part of the exhibition and event cycle ”Live during Wartime”, that is exploring alternative ways of authorship and working methodologies of a temporary association of artists.

After the first part of Life during Wartime, which was distinguished by its experimental staging, part two follows a deliberately different exhibition concept; a group exhibition curated by Stephan Wittmer at Redaktion, Lucerne/SUI together with the release (#164) of a new issue of the independent art magazine _957.

opening + magazine release:
Friday, May 10, 2024, from 6pm | Redaktlon, Himmelrichstrasse 4, 6003 Lucern/SUI

The exhibition at Redaktion, Lucerne/SUI makes it possible for the artists involved and anyone of an interested audience to participate in an expanded art practice that is reflection and transformation at the same time and a fundamental process collective artist practice. The critical discussion within this socially relevant topic enables and drives the further development of this project in several distinguished parts.

Heard of a van that`s loaded with weapons could therefore be read – in the broadest sense – in a way where weapon represents a positive moment. Where weapon is a tool of creativity and artistic innovation, overcoming conventional thinking and destructive behaviour, in order to establish a transformative power as a strength of art discourse.
